# Odie > Odie is an automatic mileage tracker for iPhone (iOS 17 or later), made in Montréal for people who drive for work in Canada and the United States. It recognises the car by its hands-free Bluetooth name, confirms driving with the motion sensor, records the trip on the phone, and asks Work or Personal from the lock screen. At tax time it produces a year report (PDF and CSV): in Canada, kilometres at the CRA two-tier allowance; in the United States, miles at the IRS standard rate with parking and tolls on top. There is no account, no analytics, no ads and no third-party code; optional sync goes through the user’s own private iCloud database. English and French. Facts as of August 23, 2026. Canada: the CRA 2026 allowance rate is 73¢/km for the first 5,000 km and 67¢/km after, plus 4¢ in the territories; the self-employed deduct the business-use share of actual costs on T2125; keep the log six years. United States: the IRS business rate is 76¢/mile (Jul 1 to Dec 31, 2026), 72.5¢/mile (Jan 1 to Jun 30, 2026), 70¢/mile (2025); medical or moving 20.5¢ then 23.5¢ in 2026; charity 14¢; depreciation component 35¢ for 2026; parking and tolls on top; W-2 employees cannot deduct mileage outside the four Form 2106 exceptions; keep the log generally three years. Odie is free for trips logged by hand without limit, 40 automatic trips a month, one car and CSV export; Odie Pro (automatic trips without limit, the year report, more than one car) is $4.99 CAD a month or $39.99 CAD a year (priced in USD by the App Store in the United States).
